Bio

Benjamin Shaar is a Senior residing in Newton, MA. He started his classical piano career at the age of 5 and is studying with Dr. Nilly Shilo. Ben has performed at numerous recitals and venues including Carnegie Hall, Boston Symphony Hall, and Jordan Hall. He is a five-time first-place winner of Bay State Competition, a winner of "From The Top" performing on NPR, a three-time winner of the American Fine Arts Festival, a two-time 3rd place winner at the NEPTA Competition, a recipient of the Nancy Oliva Award, 2nd prize at the Steinway Competition, winner of the American Association for Development of the Gifted and Talented International Young Musician Competition, and a 3rd prize winner at the Chopin International Competition.
